Bret Pardue is a Founding Partner of Gilbert & Pardue Transaction Advisors (GaP). With over 30 years of experience as Founder/Managing Partner/CEO/Owner of successful middle and lower middle market businesses, Bret offers extensive business knowledge and expertise and a vast amount of experience to GaP clients looking to improve the value of their businesses and/or navigate and execute a successful exit from them.

Mr. Pardue is passionate about working with business owners to unlock untapped value in their companies and then assisting them in converting that value into liquid wealth, usually through executing a well-designed exit strategy. His proven business evaluation and improvement techniques, combined with his past experience as both a buyer and seller of middle and lower middle market businesses, provides GaP clients with the coaching and deal-team leadership that is vital to achieving their goals.

Prior to co-founding GaP, Mr. Pardue was Co-Founder, President, and CEO of USA Environment, LP (USA). USA is a nationally-recognized provider of industrial cleaning and maintenance, environmentally sensitive construction, remediation, demolition, radiological, and waste management services to major oil, gas, and chemical companies and nationally-recognized engineering, consulting, and construction management firms. Under his leadership, USA grew from a Houston, TX start-up in 2001 to over 400 employees, 7 operating locations, and more than $100M in annual revenues in 2015, the year he exited. During his tenure, Bret executed 12 tuck-in acquisitions and the sale of majority interest in USA to a private equity firm.

During the 1990s, Mr. Pardue founded, operated/managed, and successfully exited two small environmental services companies. Both were sold to publicly-traded companies. Combined annual revenues of the two companies at exit was approximately $10M. Both were grassroots start-up businesses.

When not serving as a trusted advisor to GaP clients or spending time with his family, he enjoys exercising, cooking, reading, travel, and being outdoors. Bret supports his church and several charities, including the Children’s Craniofacial Association, the Houston Food Bank, the National Juvenile Diabetes foundation, and the local SPCA.
