On April 9, 2020, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Houston proudly announced the finalists for the Third Annual Deal of the Year Awards. ACG Houston is focused on celebrating Houston’s booming middle market deal community. Their mission is to honor the deals and dealmakers who drive middle market growth resulting in job growth, capital formation and the advancement of meaningful business relationships.
The finalists were reviewed and ranked by an independent panel of esteemed judges and top local business leaders. The criteria for the nominations included a closing date between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019 as well as deals closing between October 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 with transactions that have a tie to the Greater Houston area (e.g. where the buyer, seller, or assets were located).
The acquisition of Specialized Waste Systems (SWS) by TAS Environmental Services was chosen as a Finalist in the Technology & Business Services catgory. Click here for the news article on our website announcing that acquisition.
The awards ceremony was originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2020 but was canceled due to COVID-19. Instead, winners were announced through a virtual video posted to the ACG website on that day.
While the SWS-TAS deal was not chosen as the winner in this category, GaP is proud to have closed a deal that is part of this elite finalist group.
