Welcome Paul Mueller - Senior Advisor, Certified Business Coach

July 18, 2019

Please welcome Paul Mueller to Gilbert & Pardue Business Advisors (GaP) as Senior Advisor, Certified Business Coach.

About Paul...

Prior to his career shift into coaching, Paul was a Senior Executive in the Aviation, Aerospace, and Defense industries for over 30 years, holding CEO and P&L leadership positions since 2007. He has extensive expertise in building and implementing successful strategic and marketing plans which are focused on a business’s core competencies, aligned with customer needs, and deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction. Paul has a demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue and EBITDA expectations while containing operating costs and building a healthy culture.

Paul’s most recent position was as CEO of AirTech, Inc., a commercial aviation operations and services business. AirTech was a $95M revenue sole-proprietor-owned business operating special mission surveillance aircraft in support of government missions. After the business was sold to a parent holding company, Paul was appointed CEO and charged with developing a Strategic Plan for growth and implementing robust and mature processes and practices in order to create a repeatable, sustainable business environment. Paul integrated AirTech into the parent company’s portfolio and developed a plan to retain AirTech’s current market position while leveraging its core competencies to diversify that market position to support long-term growth.

Paul started his career as a U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Officer where he learned team building and leadership skills, a cornerstone of his success. He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Paul also attended Chapman University pursuing his MBA and attended Executive Programs at Wharton and Harvard. He is a member of the Houston Chapter of the Texas Association of Business Brokers. In his free time, Paul enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.

What the addition of Paul means to GaP and our clients...

The addition of Paul expands our capacity to offer in-house solutions to business owners who need to “work on a few things” in order to make their company more attractive to a buyer. Paul will be spearheading “Exit Readiness” activities for privately-held and family-owned businesses needing to understand how a buyer will judge them. Paul’s work with these owners will include creating plans for transitioning when terms and timing are most favorable.

GaP specializes in helping privately-held businesses with revenue of $3-50 million who:

  • Are beginning to think about transitioning, retiring, or selling as a way to monetize/liquidize the value of the business
  • Need a broker to execute a proven process to sell the business
  • Need a professional, defendable ‘opinion of business value’ and discussion of the components that make up that opinion
  • Want former business owners, accounting professionals, analysts, and strategists to prepare, position, market, sell, and close the best possible transaction with a buyer who pays the most but will still care for the employees, customers, vendors, and legacy

Our Coaching and Advisory programs include:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Value Acceleration
  • Succession Planning
  • Exit Planning
  • Business Governance
  • Leadership Development
  • Executive Coaching
  • Financial Mentoring
