Gilbert & Pardue is pleased to announce that Scott Bastian has joined the company as Brand Ambassador & Director of Marketing. Mr. Bastian brings over 20 years of experience as a global business leader with a history of driving growth and business transformation through operational excellence on behalf of organizations in the chemical, coatings, distribution, industrial, and materials sectors. Scott specializes in long-term vision and strategy development including business redesign through the utilization of operational excellence. He brings experience in bankruptcy negotiations & recovery, business divestitures, IP licensing, joint ventures, and the M&A process. In Scott’s words, “I am excited to become part of the GaP team and have the opportunity to share my experience with GaP clients in order to help them achieve their goals through successful M&A transactions.”
Mr. Bastian’s experience includes officer and board roles along with executive leadership/sponsorship positions in both global safety & global operations. He has provided strategic direction, optimized global operations, expanded the technology base, and driven global market penetration within the Americas, APAC, and EMEA regions. Scott’s notable work history positions include: Global President of the Industrial Solutions Business for Hallstar, Director of Epoxy Specialties (Americas) & GM Site Leader for Hexion Inc., and Global Manager for PPG Industries.
As a past member of a global Senior Leadership Team, Scott was selected to help support the Company through a $2B+ divestiture, a complex global initiative that required collaboration, precision, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a high-expectation environment. Working for global multinational, private equity, and family-owned companies has afforded Scott numerous skills and experiences across many business functions, all of which will be leveraged to satisfy the needs of GaP clientele.

Mr. Bastian holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Winona State University. He also holds an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance as well as an M.P.M. in Project Management and Quality from the Keller Graduate School of Business (KGSB). In addition, Scott has completed post-graduate courses specific to International Business Strategy at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is an avid learner and continues to participate in executive courses at Georgetown University, University of Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Babson College. Scott has been married to his wife, Cheryl, for 30 years and has two adult children. In his free time, he enjoys family, fly-fishing, and coaching hockey, along with sharing time with friends at his local church. He continues to support his community as well as past colleagues through active mentoring programs.
